The history of RMG begins in the late 19th century. The origins lie in the “Morell’sche Fabrik” for rotary compressors, which was renamed Hessenwerke Maschinenfabrik in 1911. In 1931 Rudolf Majert takes over all shares of the company and renames it Hessenwerk Rudolf Majert. Now gas pressure control valves for the gas industry are also built.
After World War II, larger nominal sizes of gas pressure control valves and various safety devices with higher pressure ratings are built in close contact with the gas industry. In 1964 IWKA Industrie-Werke Mannheim-Augsburg AG takes over RMG Regel und Messtechnik GmbH under the new name. RMG is based on Rudolf Majert Gastechnik.
In 2009 the then owner, the investor group Triton, sold the RMG group to Honeywell. RMG is subsequently sold to Dalian Energas, including all rights to the RMG brand. Since 2016, RMG Messtechnik GmbH has experienced continuous growth in turnover. The number of employees also continues to rise steadily. So far subsidiaries have been founded in Austria, USA, China and UAE-Dubai. We are constantly working on the renewal and expansion of the existing product portfolio.
USM GT400 ultrasonic gas meter
The GT400 series is the high-end result of continuous product development of gas ultrasonic meter technology. Already with the market launch of the first RMG ultrasonic meter in 1999, the principle of 6-path measurement was applied for custody transfer metering. In the current 4th generation, this optimum measuring instrument is available for precise measurement of large flows at high pressures in pipelines and gas transfer stations.
GT400 features and benefits:
- Available in 3”- 24” line sizes, ANSI 150-600 (larger sizes & higher ANSI classes upon request).
- Engineered and manufactured in Germany for extreme reliability.
- Best transducer / electronics warranty in the industry.
- Easy to use software with enhanced configurable diagnostics.
- RMG offers an extensive Houston-based meter inventory (3” -16”, ANSI 600)
- 6 direct measuring paths with 3 horizontal planes in an “X” pattern for excellent swirl compensation.
- Superior installation effects performance with 3D + CPA 55E.
- Excellent performance and reliability in wet gas and sour gas (H2S) applications.
- Superior control valve noise immunity – no noise abatement tees ever needed.
